Experience the magic of all time London classic The Lion King at the magnificent Lyceum Theatre London! The Walt Disney’s blockbuster musical marked its debut at London Westend Theatre in the year 2000 and still going strong. The hugely and massively acclaimed and applauded show is truly one of the hottest tickets in the city.

 The spectacular production by Julie Taymor is remarkable for its live action, great puppetry and amazing sets. The classic Disney film has been enlivened up onstage with stunning African Savannah, life sized elephants and evil hyenas. Elton John’s mesmerizing musical numbers makes the show a delightful experience to watch out for!

 Tim Rice’s superb songs simply touch the heart chords with some of the chartbusting musical numbers such as “The Circle of Life”, “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” and “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King”. The brilliant show is set against the backdrop of African-pride lands.

 The Lion King commences with the birth of Lion cub, Simba who is the son of King Mufasa and Queen Sarabi. Mufasa’s brother Scar is jealous of him and plots to usurp the kingdom by getting rid of Simba and King Mufasa. After killing Mufasa in a stampede, Scar advises Simba to run away and never return. Later, his friends Timon, Pumba and Nala convinces him to return and reclaim his Kingdom.

 With talented cast and technicians, the heart warming story of The Lion King rules the heart. The two hours and forty five minutes long show is hugely popular among people of all age groups whether they are kids or old people. If you have enjoyed the movie version then the theatrical version will be an amazing experience!
